Somewhere around two and a half, most girls start having opinions about clothes. The tee that gets worn is the one she chose, which is a good reason to let the graphic do the deciding rather than the color palette you had in mind.
The toddler cut
Every tee here runs 2T, 3T, 4T and 5T on the same toddler block as the boys range: roomy through the body, a shorter sleeve, and an oversized ribbed neck with a taped seam. Nothing is narrowed or shortened. Girls' tees cut slimmer than boys' tees ride up the moment a toddler reaches for something, which is most of the day.
Color and mess
Pale pinks and creams look lovely and show every meal. If the tee is for daycare or preschool rather than photos, a mid-tone base with a bright print survives the week far better. Keep one or two light ones for occasions and let the rest earn their keep.
When to move up to youth
Around five, most girls sit between the two blocks. 5T is the wider, shorter shape; youth S is barely wider but more than two inches longer in the body. A stocky five year old is usually happier in 5T, and a tall, slim one gets more wear out of youth S.

Which size for a 3 year old?
3T or 4T. 3T covers about 2 to 3 years and 4T about 3 to 4 years, so check height against the chart. There is no harm in a little length.
What sizes does this collection cover?
2T, 3T, 4T and 5T in short sleeve, and 2T, 3T, 4T and 5-6T in long sleeve. Youth sizes S to XL are in the youth collection.
Are these cut differently from the toddler boy tees?
No. Same block, same fabric, same neck. Only the artwork differs, so a print from either collection fits exactly the same.
Will pale colors stain permanently?
Only if you dry them before the stain is out. Heat sets a stain. Treat it cold, wash cold, and check before it goes anywhere near a dryer.
Can I dress these up?
A graphic tee tucked at the front over a skirt reads as deliberate rather than casual. Works well for birthdays where a dress is a fight.
Are they short sleeve only?
No. The long sleeves come in 2T, 3T, 4T and 5-6T and run on their own size chart, about an inch wider than the short sleeve at the same size.
