A lot of girls' tees are simply boys' tees made narrower and shorter, which is why they ride up the moment a child raises her arms. Ours keep full body length and a relaxed chest, so the hem stays where it should during monkey bars and cartwheels. The fabric is the same combed cotton used across the range, not a thinner grade.
Toddler 2T to 5T is cut wide and short-sleeved with an easy neck. Youth S to XL lengthens the body and slims the shoulder slightly. Girls often prefer the next size up from about seven onward, when a looser tee starts to read as the way it is supposed to look rather than a mistake.
Florals, rainbows, horses and western motifs move fastest in the girls range, along with anything with a slogan she can read out loud. The practical filter is color: a graphic on a mid-tone base hides playground marks far better than the same print on white.
Relaxed rather than fitted. If your daughter is used to a slim mall-brand cut, this will feel roomier through the chest and longer at the hem, which is deliberate.
Youth S or M for most, but check the height and chest figures in the size guide. At seven the spread between children of the same age is wide enough that age alone is a poor guide.
Yes. Order one or two sizes up for the loose, longline look most girls want from about eight. It sits well over leggings and bike shorts.
A direct-to-garment print will not crack or peel, because the ink is in the fabric rather than sitting on top of it. It does fade gradually with washing, so cold water and inside out is what keeps it looking new.
Yes, and they get softer. There is no starch finish, so nothing needs washing off before first wear.
